Environmental Port Index (EPI) has been introduced as an economic incentive to support sustainable and eco-friendly cruise operations
The score ranges from 0 (lowest) to 100 (best).
Quay charges will subsequently be subject to a pro-portionate change as follows:
For a score below 40: 2 x (40- EPI)
For a score above 40: -3/7 x (EPI - 40)
If a ship fails to report data within 72 hrs, it will be appointed a score of 0.
If a ship has facilities for shore power, it will be ap-pointed a minimum score of 40.
